Arsenal decide against move for La Liga attacker
Arsenal have reportedly decided against making a move for Philippe Coutinho despite him being available on a temporary deal from Barcelona.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is keen to add more experience to his squad this summer and the club are currently on the cusp of signing Willian.
According to The Mirror, agent Kia Joorabchian had offered the services of both Willian and Coutinho to the Gunners, but they have prioritised the signing of the former.
It is added that they are unlikely to pursue the services of Coutinho despite the fact that he is available on a season-long loan from the Blaugrana this summer.
The north London side are expected to pay wages of around £100,000-a-week for Willian, who is due to join on a three-year contract in the coming days.
The Brazil international is currently nursing a minor injury and reports indicate that he may have already played his final game for Frank Lampard's side.
