Serie A giants enter talks with Chelsea for French midfielder

Tiemoue Bakayoko news

Bakayoko set for Milan return?

AC Milan have reportedly entered talks with Chelsea over a season-long loan deal for midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The Frenchman has spent the previous two seasons on loan with Milan and AS Monaco respectively after failing to impress in his debut campaign for the Blues.

He has already been deemed surplus to requirements under Frank Lampard and ESPN claims that the Rossoneri are keen to re-sign him on loan for £2.6m this summer.

The San Siro outfit are willing to include the option to buy for £31m, but it is claimed that the Blues would prefer to recoup the entire £40m paid for his services to Monaco in 2017.

Bakayoko is eager to make his return to the Rossoneri where he was hugely impressive during the 2018/2019 campaign. He made 43 appearances for the club under Gennaro Gattuso back then.

The 25-year-old has also been linked with a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain, but the French champions have not made any kind of approach to date.
