Manchester United could revive their pursuit of Kalidou Koulibaly this summer, a report from Gazzetta dello Sport claims.

The Red Devils were interested in signing the centre-back a couple of years ago, but they were put off by Napoli's £100m plus price tag.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Naples outfit could reduce their price tag for the defender this summer following their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

The Serie A side have Europa League football to look out for next season, but it is claimed that they may need to raise up to £135m from player sales to offset the financial impact of missing out on Europe's premier competition.

Both United and Manchester City are keeping tabs on Koulibaly's situation and it is claimed that the former could be prepared to offer up to £63m to sign the Senegal international.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on signing a new centre-back to accompany Harry Maguire at the back. He is currently unconvinced over the consistency of Victor Lindelof.
