United have made no progress in Sancho talks - Romano

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Manchester United have made no progress in the negotiations to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

The England international has been identified as the Red Devils' prime target to strengthen the right-wing position, but they have been put off by the £108m price tag.

Dortmund are adamant that they won't reduce the asking price at any cost and Romano has revealed that United have not made any progress in the discussions over the past seven weeks.

While they have already agreed to personal terms with the attacker, a move appears unlikely at the moment. Meanwhile, Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has recently said that Sancho will play for the club next season.

Sancho has effectively three years remaining on his contract. His previous deal was due to expire in the summer of 2022, but he was handed an automatic one-year extension with a pay-rise after meeting some conditions.
