Watford open to Sarr sale to United

Watford are open to the idea of selling Ismaila Sarr to Manchester United before the domestic transfer window closes on October 16.

The Red Devils made five major signings during the recent international transfer window, but the club's faithful may still be disappointed with the failure to sign top target Jadon Sancho.

According to Manchester Evening News, the club may make a fresh approach for Sarr after their initial offer for the Senegal international was rejected by the Hornets.

The Red Devils were looking to sign Sarr on a loan deal last week with the option to buy for £25m. However, the offer was rejected by the Hornets, who wanted a straight-cash deal worth £45m.

United are unlikely to meet the price tag set by the Hornets, but reports claim that the Championship side could be willing to sanction the forward's sale, if an improved offer is made.

Sarr has already featured in a couple of Championship matches for Watford. He has previously said that he is content to stay put, suppose the club are not willing to sell him.
