Edouard Mendy ousts Kepa
Edouard Mendy ousts Kepa

His transfer to the club wasn't much talked about, but with two clean sheets from three matches and only a goal conceded, Mendy looks unbeatable in post and seems untouchable at the moment.
Lampard seems to put faith in the Senegalese international and would definitely be in post come Saturday at the Old Trafford.
Error-prone Kepa has been ousted by the recently arrived shot stopper Edouard Mendy as the club's no.1. Though not been at the club for long, Lampard seems impressed with Mendy's performances and looks a regular starter compared to the Spanish international, Kepa. With three games under his belt this season, Kepa has conceded a total of six goals from matches against Brighton, Liverpool and Southampton and is yet to keep a clean sheet.
If Mendy should put in performances as he's done in all the games he's played, then Kepa should be worried about reclaiming the no.1 spot and judging from their performances so far on the pitch, Mendy seems a better and safer option in post as compared to Kepa. With Lampard admitting and confirming Mendy as the club's no.1 goal keeper during a post match interview after the game against Sevilla, Kepa wouldnt mind going on loan, with the intent of making the Spain's final 23 man squad for the upcoming Euros.
