Manchester City have reportedly joined the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid in the race to sign Erling Braut Haaland.

Haaland made the move to Borussia Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in January this year and he has since registered 27 goals from just 29 outings.

According to Bild, the Cityzens are expected to pursue a new striker next summer with Sergio Aguero's contract scheduled to expire.

It is added that they have their sights firmly on Haaland and they are prepared to make their interest official to Dortmund at the beginning of next year.

Haaland's current deal with Dortmund only expires in June 2024, but he has a buy-out clause worth £65m which becomes active in the summer of 2022.

Should the Cityzens want him next summer, they will have to pay significantly more. Haaland has bagged 11 goals in 11 games for Dortmund this term.

He will be in action for Norway in their UEFA Nations League group stage games against Romania and Austria over the next few days.
