Mesut Ozil on his way to Fenerbahce?
A member of the Fenerbahce hierarchy has revealed that there is a 90 percent chance of Mesut Ozil joining the club from Arsenal next month.
The German attacker has been deemed surplus to requirements by the Gunners and earlier in October, he was excluded from the Premier League and Europa League squads.
He will enter the final six months of his contract at the turn of the year and some reports have suggested that the Gunners may look to mutually terminate his deal.
Ozil has been linked with a possible winter move to Major League Soccer, but Murat Zorlu, a member of Fenerbahce's congress, has suggested that the playmaker will join the Istanbul outfit.
"A source, who's very well connected to the club, has told me that Mesut Ozil is likely to become a Fenerbahce player during the next transfer window. I would say 90 percent he will join us in one month," He told Sports Digitale.
Ozil has been pretty active on social media over the past few weeks and he has openly supported the club. The 32-year-old has also been involved in training, but it appears unlikely that he will be re-integrated into the squad.
