Arsenal provide fresh injury update on Thomas Partey
Arsenal have revealed that midfielder Thomas Partey won't play any part in the upcoming Premier League clash against Southampton as he continues to recover from a fresh thigh injury.
The Ghana international recently returned to action against Tottenham Hotspur following a thigh concern, but he was able to play for only 45 minutes before suffering a recurrence of the same problem.
Ahead of the Saints game, the north London giants have revealed that the midfielder is receiving treatment from the medical team and he is hoping to return to training as soon as possible.
"Thomas will be unavailable for forthcoming matches and is working hard with our medical team in order to return to training as soon as possible," An update on the club's official website read.
The Gunners have been in a wretched run of form in the English top-flight and they have picked up only one point from the previous five league matches.
That sees them languishing in the 15th position with their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign. They will be hoping to avoid a fifth straight home league defeat on Wednesday night.
