Omar Rekik to join Arsenal from Hertha Berlin
Hertha Berlin defender Omar Rekik is set to join Arsenal when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The 18-year-old has yet to make his senior debut for the German side, but he has already represented Tunisia at the international level.
Rekik was due to join the Gunners in the summer, but a move could not be finalised before the October transfer deadline.
Still, a deal was always on the cards and he has recently undergone his medical with the north London giants.
The move will be made official in the coming weeks and the youngster will initially link up with the Under-23 squad.
Rekik is primarily a central defender by trade, but he has also caught the eye with his ability to play in the midfield.
He is unlikely to make his first-team debut this term, but will be hoping to make significant progress to make the breakthrough.
Arsenal are bound to make at least one major signing next month. They are said to be eyeing a creative midfielder.
