Manchester United want to sign Kieran Trippier

Manchester United are prepared to hold negotiations with Atletico Madrid regarding a potential deal for Kieran Trippier.

Trippier has been a huge hit since leaving Tottenham Hotspur in 2019 and he has registered nine assists from 52 appearances for Atletico.

According to The Athletic, the Red Devils are keen on luring Trippier back to the Premier League as they seek competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Trippier has been ever-present for Atletico in La Liga and Europe this season, but he won't play any role over the coming months.

The right-back was recently found guilty for breaching betting rules by the FA and due to this, he has been banned for 10 competitive games.

His current deal with Atletico expires in the summer of 2022 and reports claim that he would entertain the prospect of returning home.

The Red Devils have the option of recalling Diogo Dalot from his loan spell at AC Milan, where he has barely played in the Serie A.

However, it appears unlikely that he will be reintegrated into the first-team plans and the club are prepared to listen to offers.
