Arsenal defender returns to Germany on loan
Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac has returned to Schalke 04 on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Bosnian made only nine appearances for the Gunners during the first half of the campaign and only one of those came in the Premier League.
Hence, he was fancied to head through the exit door and the club have now confirmed that he has rejoined Schalke on a temporary basis.
Kolasinac graduated through the youth ranks in Gelsenkirchen, but he left them to join the Gunners on a free transfer in the summer of 2017.
After making over 100 appearances for the Gunners, he has now returned to Schalke, who are languishing at the bottom of Bundesliga.
The club have experienced a dismal campaign where they have registered only four points from 13 games and they are seven points adrift of safety.
They need a huge turnaround to avoid relegation for the first time in three decades. Kolasinac will be hoping to make an instant impact.
