Arsenal deliver fresh injury update on Thomas Partey
Arsenal have provided a fresh injury update on Thomas Partey ahead of the Premier League clash against West Bromwich Albion.
The Ghana international sustained a thigh injury during the north London derby on December 6 and he has since been on the sidelines.
Partey has recently started performing individual drills alongside the physio on the pitch and it is now revealed that he could be integrated into full training next week.
"Thomas has started to train outside and will continue with his daily assessments and monitoring. We are hoping that Thomas will return to full training with the squad next week," an update on the club's official website read.
Partey has managed just three appearances for the Gunners since his summer move, but he has already made his mark with a standout performance against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
He is likely to return to first-team action at some point this month and should be in line to face the Red Devils in the reverse fixture at the Emirates Stadium on January 30.
