Serie A giants AC Milan are aiming to sign Diogo Dalot on a permanent basis from Manchester United.

Dalot joined the Rossoneri on loan in the summer and he has since made 17 appearances in all competitions.

The Portuguese has been a handy back-up option in both full-back positions and has recently started regularly in the Serie A.

According to The Sun, the San Siro outfit want to land Dalot on a permanent basis at the end of the campaign.

However, they are only willing to offer £15m, which is £4m less than what United paid to Porto for the defender in 2018.

Dalot is contracted to the Red Devils until the summer of 2023 and his deal could be extended by another 12 months.

Hence, United don't face the urgency to sell him and they may demand a much higher fee from the Rossoneri.

Meanwhile, there are suggestions that Dalot could rejoin the Rossoneri on loan for another campaign.
