Manchester United and Chelsea want Bundesliga defender
Manchester United and Chelsea are both interested in landing the signature of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig this summer.
Konate has endured a tough one and a half seasons with Leipzig where he has suffered a number of muscular and ankle injuries.
Despite this, he is highly regarded by some of Europe's elite and there are suggestions that he could be on the move this summer.
Leipzig recently agreed to sell Dayot Upamecano to Bayern Munich after they agreed to trigger the £38m release clause.
It is now revealed that Konate has a buy-out clause worth £39m on his contract and United and Blues are interested in signing him.
The 21-year-old has turned out nearly 100 times for Leipzig and he has caught the eye with his tackling and strong presence in the air.
He has recently returned from an ankle problem and the Premier League duo may assess his fitness for the rest of the season before making a move.
