Netherlands international Donny van de Beek wants to leave Manchester United this summer after struggling for regular game time.

The Dutchman was the club's first signing of the summer transfer window and it was predicted that he would become a key player.

However, that has not been the case and the 23-year-old has managed just over 1000 minutes of first-team football this term.

According to The Star, the playmaker wants showdown talks with the club's hierarchy and will push for an exit this summer.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has previously said that the midfielder would become a regular in the long-term.

But Van de Beek seems impatient to wait for his chance and could pursue a fresh challenge when the transfer window reopens.

The Red Devils may be reluctant to sanction a permanent deal, but a loan deal could be on the cards this summer.

It has been suggested that he could return to former club Ajax.
