Edinson Cavani makes Manchester United future decision
Uruguayan star Edinson Cavani has decided to remain with Manchester United for another season before considering his future.
The 34-year-old joined the club on a free transfer last summer, and he has impressed with 12 goals and four assists in all competitions.
Cavani has struggled with his fitness over the course of the campaign, but he has been a valuable performer leading the line.
He recently starred with two goals and two assists in the 6-2 demolition of AS Roma in the Europa League on Thursday night.
It is now claimed that Cavani will stay with the Red Devils for another 12 months before returning to South America.
United are expected to trigger the extension clause on his contract after witnessing his fine run of form in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, Cavani's stay is expected to end the club's pursuit of a new striker during the summer transfer window.
They could instead focus on strengthening other positions. They are on the search for a new centre-back and central midfielder.
