Manchester United are reportedly contemplating whether to reward midfielder Paul Pogba with a new long-term contract.

The Frenchman has been with the Red Devils for the past five seasons, but there has been regular speculation regarding his future.

His current deal expires in 14 months' time, and the club have yet to make the breakthrough in negotiations over a renewal.

According to The Mirror, United are wary of dealing with Pogba's agent Mino Raiola, who has stated his client's £400,000-a-week demands.

United are yet to respond to the proposal. The likes of Juventus and Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on the situation.

Pogba has bagged six goals and nine assists from 40 appearances for United this term despite a couple of injury setbacks.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to keep hold of him, but the salary demands could tempt United to listen to offers this summer.

The 2018 World Cup winner is reportedly valued at around £100 million
