Trippier on Man United radar

Manchester United are reportedly weighing up an approach for former Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier.

The England international joined Atletico Madrid from Spurs in 2019, and he has since been a key player from the right-back spot.

Trippier missed a number of weeks this year with a betting ban, but he has still impressed with six assists from 27 league starts.

He is on the cusp of winning the league title with Diego Simeone's side, but there is speculation that he could return home this summer.

According to The Athletic, Trippier has 13 months left on his contract, and he is open to returning to the Premier League.

United are favourites to land his signature, having initially made an approach in January before he was handed the ban.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka as he is unconvinced with Diogo Dalot and Brandon Williams.

Dalot could be sold after his temporary stint with AC Milan. Williams is likely to be loaned out to a Premier League club.
