Paris Saint-Germain join Arsenal in race for Houssem Aouar
Paris Saint-Germain have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar during the ongoing transfer window.
The Gunners are keen on landing a creative midfielder, and they have recently been linked with long-term target Aouar.
Aouar was on their radar last summer, but they were put off by the reported €60 million asking price for his services.
The price tag has been reduced to just €28m this summer with Lyon looking to ease some of their financial burden.
The Gunners have made contact with Lyon for Aouar, but Le10Sport claims that Les Parisiens have entered the pursuit.
Aouar has yet to make a decision over his future, but there are suggestions that he could prefer to stay in Ligue 1.
The Frenchman struggled for consistency last term, but still bagged eight goals and four assists from 33 appearances.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with the versatile midfielder as they look to add more creativity in their ranks.
