Manchester United finalise medical for England star

Jadon Sancho has undergone a successful medical with Manchester United ahead of his transfer from Borussia Dortmund.

United have already reached a transfer agreement with Dortmund for the England international, but they are now completing the formalities.

Sancho has undergone a medical after the Euro 2020 final. He is set to sign a new long-term deal on wages of around £250,000-a-week.

The club are expected to make his presentation in the next few days. He is likely to wear the number 7 shirt, recently worn by Edinson Cavani.

Cavani has agreed to relinquish the shirt number. There are suggestions that he could get the number nine jersey ahead of the new season.

United are likely to make at least three more signings this summer. They have their sights on landing a new central defender.

Real Madrid's Raphael Varane is the top transfer target. He has entered the final year of his deal, but will cost at least €50 million.
