Varane undergoes first part of United medical

Raphael Varane has reportedly completed the first part of his medical with Manchester United.

The Red Devils reached an agreement to sign Varane last month, but an official announcement has been delayed.

Varane arrived in Manchester last week, but he needed to quarantine. He has now undergone the first part of his medical.

According to Sky Sports, the centre-back will be officially presented to the supporters in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would like Varane to be involved in training ahead of the first game of the new league season.

However, it appears unlikely that he will start against Leeds. Victor Lindelof could continue to partner Harry Maguire.

With the first game being at Old Trafford, Solskjaer could hand Varane his debut in a cameo appearance off the bench.

United's other big signing Jadon Sancho has already returned to training, and he could also play a part on Saturday.

The Red Devils have no plans to make more signings this summer.
