Manchester United attacker heading to Leicester City?
Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard has emerged as a potential transfer target for Leicester City, according to football.london.
The England international struggled for minutes with United last term before he was loaned out to West Ham United in January.
The stint brought the best out of him as he bagged nine goals and five assists from 16 appearances across all competitions.
The Hammers are interested in signing him permanently, but they have been put off by the £30m valuation set by United.
It is now reported that the Foxes could move for the experienced attacker if James Maddison leaves the club this summer.
Maddison is currently the subject of strong interest from Arsenal. The Foxes are reluctant to sell him unless their £60m price is met.
There is the expectation that the Gunners will eventually meet the valuation. The Foxes appear to have a contingency plan in place.
Maddison struggled with a hip problem during the final months of last season. He still bagged 11 goals and 10 assists from 42 games.
