Arsenal face fresh competition for Bundesliga midfielder

Arsenal will reportedly face competition from Everton and Leicester City in the pursuit of Denis Zakaria.

The Swiss  will enter the final six months of his Borussia Monchengladbach contract in January, and he is free to speak with foreign clubs.

The Gunners have already initiated contact with his agent, but 90min claims that they are likely to face competition from their Premier League rivals.

Leicester City are looking for a new defensive midfielder, and have their sights on luring Zakaria. Everton are also keen on landing his services.

Zakaria is eager to join another club playing in Europe, and the Gunners have a tough task on their hands, judging by recent form.

They have suffered three losses in the last four matches, and this has seen them slump to seventh in the league standings after 15 games.

The club have the chance to redeem themselves during the festive schedule, but a few more losses could hamper their European hopes.
