Manchester United defender on his way to Napoli?
Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe is set to join Napoli on loan for the rest of the campaign.
The centre-back was loaned out to Aston Villa last summer, but he has since made just nine appearances.
According to The Guardian, Villa have now agreed to terminate his loan deal, and he will move to Napoli.
The Serie A outfit opened talks with United last week, but the deal entirely depended on Villa's stance.
The Midlands outfit have accepted to cut short Tuanzebe's stay. He will now undergo his Napoli medical.
The club have already finalised an agreement with United. They will pay a fee of £500,000 for the loan stint.
The agreement does not include the option to buy, but United are willing to negotiate a suitable deal next summer.
Tuanzebe's current contract with United expires in June 2023. However, they have the option to extend for 12 months.
The 24-year-old will be hoping to make an impact at Napoli to secure a permanent move away from the Red Devils.
