Bolton boss Gary Megson remains focused on the task in hand - Premiership safety this season. The Wanderers boss admits he is taking nothing for granted after a couple of lucky wins has seen them exit the relegation zone; something of a shock considering their form of late.

"We are certainly the last people to get carried away that we have got out of the bottom three because we have near enough been in it for the whole of the season and we are only out of it by a point," he said.

"We have been in it for 90 per cent of the season. You have to remember we had taken five points from 10 games and there is only one team that has ever started as badly as that and managed to get themselves out of it.

"What we have done with the six points out of six is given ourselves an opportunity to be involved in the last few games, whereas that wasn't there three or four weeks ago and probably wasn't there after 10 games either.

"These last two results have put us in a position where we can probably say it's in our own hands. Without a shadow of doubt we needed them because these would have been entirely different times without those two results."
