Middlesbrough for Sidwell
Gareth Southgate's Middlesbrough have emerged as early favorites to snap up coveted midfielder Steve Sidwell from Chelsea this summer. Newcastle and Aston Villa have also been linked with a move for the player.
The former Arsenal man is valued at around £5 million, but Boro would prefer to pay around £3 million to entice the the player to Teeside.
Sidwell has only made seven starts in the Premiership for Chelsea since joining from Reading, and wasn't even given a Champions League shirt number this year.
Sidwell is reportedly keen to try his luck at Middlesbrough next year.
