Fernandes set for new Man Utd contract

Manchester United are close to finalising a new long-term contract for midfielder Bruno Fernandes, O Jogo claims.

The Portuguese has been with the Red Devils for the past two years, bagging 49 goals and 38 assists from 117 appearances.

He has been an outstanding signing for the club, and it is now reported that they are set to reward him for his efforts.

Fernandes current deal expires in the summer of 2025. The hierarchy are now prepared to extend his stay until June 2027.

The Portuguese star is currently on around £180,000-a-week. He will earn £240,000 weekly with the extension.

Fernandes has no concerns over the proposal, and reports claim that it is only a matter of time before he commits his future.

United have gone trophyless for five seasons, but Fernandes has the belief that the club will start winning silverware soon.

While Fernandes sees his long-term future at the club, Paul Pogba appears on his way out when his deal expires on June 30.
