Man Utd need to pay £54m for Serie A midfielder

Manchester United need to pay around £54m to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer, Corriere dello Sport claims.

The Red Devils are keen on pursuing two midfielders, and one of them could be Milinkovic-Savic, who is a long-term target.

United tried to sign him from Lazio three years ago, but they were put off by Lazio's staggering £84m price tag for the Serbian.

He has since been linked with the club on numerous occasions, and they may have the opportunity to land him for a reduced fee.

With just over two years left on his contract, Lazio are prepared to part ways with the midfielder when the transfer window reopens.

United have made contact with his entourage, and it is claimed that he could be available for a fee of around £54m this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in his services, and it may eventually come to the salary package and future plans for him.
