Arsenal want Victor Osimhen

Arsenal are taking concrete steps to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer, Gazzetta dello Sport claims.

The Nigerian has had a solid season with the Serie A outfit, bagging 16 goals and five assists from 28 appearances.

His progress has caught the eye of the Gunners, and it is now reported that they are in concrete talks with his agents.

The north London club have yet to make a formal offer to Napoli, but the striker is expected to cost a premium fee.

The Naples outfit are set to hold out for at least €80m for Osimhen with the majority of the fee being paid up front.

Manchester United have also been linked with him, but the Gunners may have the advantage in the transfer race.

Osimhen is eager to play in the Premier League next term, but also wants the assurance of Champions League football.

The Gunners are presently fourth in the standings, but still have five games to play where they need to cement the spot.
