Two Man Utd stars pushing for summer exits

Phil Jones news

Bailly and Jones plan to leave Man Utd

Manchester United duo Eric Bailly and Phil Jones have their sights on leaving the club this summer, Manchester Evening News claims.

Bailly has been with the Red Devils for the past six years, but he has not been able to establish himself as a regular starter.

Initially, he was sidelined with several injuries, and he now faces stiff competition for places in the starting line-up.

It is now reported that the Ivorian wants to leave the Red Devils, having become frustrated with the lack of game time.

He is apparently not pleased with Harry Maguire's regular role this season despite being guilty of multiple defensive errors.

Bailly looks set to push for an exit and could be accompanied by Jones, who has been limited to just two league starts this term.

The departure of the duo could coincide with a new centre-back signing. United are eyeing a deal for Villarreal's Pau Torres.

Torres was on United's radar last summer before the purchase of Varane. He has a release clause worth £50m on his contract.
