Frenkie de Jong makes Man Utd transfer decision
Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong has no plans of joining Manchester United this summer, Mundo Deportivo claims.
The Netherlands international has been with the Blaugrana for the past three years, and there has been speculation that he could be offloaded soon.
With the need to balance their financial books, De Jong has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, but the midfielder is not keen on joining them.
The 25-year-old would reunite with his former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag at United, but the club can't offer him Champions League football.
This is set to prove a huge stumbling block. If De Jong were to leave Camp Nou, he would prefer joining a Champions League-based outfit.
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain will be better placed to sign him over the Red Devils, who have a tough rebuilding job ahead of next season.
De Jong is valued at around €80 million, but the Blaugrana could be willing to negotiate a lesser fee of €60m if the payment is made in full.
