Chelsea identify Declan Rice alternative
Chelsea have identified PSV Eindhoven star Ibrahim Sangare as the potential alternative to Declan Rice this summer.
The Blues are expected to pursue a defensive midfielder during the summer transfer window, and they have been heavily linked with Rice.
The England international was previously in their academy before being released, but he would welcome a reunion this summer.
However, a deal seems highly unlikely with the Hammers set to demand a staggering fee of around £150m to part ways with him.
Amidst this, The Mirror claims that the Blues are now looking at Sangare after getting the green light from manager Thomas Tuchel.
The Ivorian has been hugely impressive this campaign. He has averaged over three tackles per appearance for club and country.
Unlike Rice, he could be prised away for a relatively cheap fee of around £30m when the transfer window reopens.
Sangare is also on the radar of Manchester United and Tottenham, but the Blues may have the edge with Champions League football.
