Man Utd identify competitor for Diogo Dalot?

Manchester United have identified Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries as a potential competitor to Diogo Dalot next season.

The Red Devils are prioritising a new midfielder and striker this summer, but also have their sights on pursuing a right-back.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is likely to be sold over the coming weeks, and Goal claims that he could be replaced by Dumfries.

The Netherlands star had a superb 2021/22 season with Inter, bagging five goals and seven assists from 45 appearances.

He solely featured from the right wing-back role, but should fit in the back four, having played as a right-back previously.

Inter's ongoing financial problems could pave the way for his summer exit. They are expected to demand around €35 million.

United manager Erik ten Hag knows Dumfries from his time in the Eredivisie with Ajax and he could be a quality acquisition.

Dumfries has also been linked with Chelsea, but it was recently claimed that he would prefer to work under Ten Hag for his attacking brand of football.
