Agent confirms Arsenal star is wanted by London club

The agent of Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has confirmed the transfer interest from Fulham.

The Germany international started as the Gunners' first-choice goalkeeper last season, but dropped down the pecking from September.

He made just one more Premier League appearance for the entire campaign, and has now been touted to pursue a new challenge.

With a year left on his contract, the Gunners are prepared to sell him, and his representative has now acknowledged Fulham's interest.

"Fulham is trying hard to get Bernd. Very professionally. This is also true for some other clubs and shows his status," he told Bild.

Leno was initially linked with a mid-season move away from the Gunners, but the hierarchy had no plans of listening to offers.

The club's stance has now changed as they are expected to confirm the signing of United States goalkeeper Matt Turner.

New England Revolution have confirmed the deal, and the Gunners should make an official announcement in the coming days.
