Carew has Euro ambition

Aston Villa striker John Carew has high hopes for the Villains as his side chase European football. Villa are only three points away from Everton in the chase for a UEFA Cup spot.

"We have created a great opportunity to get into Europe," said Carew, who bagged his 13th goal of the season on Sunday.

"We have a real chance this weekend when we play Wigan, while Everton are away at Arsenal.

"We have great belief that we can still take fifth place.

"We both have tough matches ahead but we have a better goal difference."
