Man Utd make Benjamin Pavard transfer decision
Manchester United don't have any plans of signing Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard this summer, Sport1 claim.
The Red Devils recently bolstered their central defensive department with the purchase of Lisandro Martinez from Ajax.
They are not keen on adding more options at the heart of the defence, and hence won't be pursuing Pavard's services.
Pavard has predominantly played as a right-back for Bayern, but the German has the ambition to play as a central defender.
Bayern can't assure him that after the big-money purchase of Matthijs de Ligt, who is one of the guaranteed starters next term.
United have been offered his services through his advisor, but Sport1 report that they have no plans of making a formal approach.
Pavard could still end up in the Premier League next term with interest from Chelsea. The Blues could play him in the back three.
The World Cup winner has already operated from the position for Bayern last term when Julian Nagelsmann was experimenting.
