Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho is set to sign a new long-term contract after his excellent progress.

The 18-year-old made his full debut for the Red Devils this month and has since been a tremendous performer for them.

He has two goals and two assists from the last four appearances and United are now keen to reward his recent development.

According to The Sun, talks are underway with his agents over a renewal. He is set to earn a 1000 per cent hike on his wages.

Garnacho currently earns around £5,000-a-week. The club are prepared to hand him a five-year deal worth £50,000 weekly.

The youngster's present contract expires at the end of the campaign, but the hierarchy have the option to extend for two years.

United have time on their hands to prolong his stay, but they may need to act fast particularly with the interest from Real Madrid.

They would not want Garnacho's head to be turned by the interest.
