Man Utd need to pay €80m for Goncalo Ramos?
Manchester United will need to pay around €80 million to sign Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos in January, according to Calciomercato.
The 21-year-old has been in superb form for club and country this term and he recently bagged a stunning hat-trick for Portugal at the World Cup.
It is now revealed that United were keeping tabs on the striker during the summer transfer window, but decided against making an approach.
Benfica valued him at around €40m back then, but the asking price has now doubled on the back of his excellent form in the current season.
Ramos has bagged 14 goals and six assists from 20 games for Benfica this campaign. He is currently playing a leading role for Portugal.
The youngster was a relatively unknown for many footballing fans, but is now a household name after his stellar hat-trick against Switzerland.
He is expected to lead the attack against Morocco in the World Cup quarter-final. The youngster will be hoping to deliver another top display.
