Arsenal pushing to sign Chelsea midfield target
Arsenal have reportedly failed with an opening bid to sign Chelsea target Yunus Musah from Valencia, FC Inter News claim.
The Gunners are expected to sign a new midfielder during the January transfer window and Palmeiras’ Danilo is one of the players on their radar.
However, the club are also looking at other solutions and FC Inter News claim that they have already failed with an offer for Valencia's Musah.
The Spanish outfit are reportedly prepared to cash in on him after his World Cup showing but it is claimed that the Gunners offer was too low.
It remains to be seen whether the Gunners make a fresh approach for his services. Valencia value the 20-year-old between €20-25 million.
Musah started his youth career at Arsenal but left them for Los Che in 2019. He has since made over 80 appearances for them in all competitions.
The Gunners are set to face competition from Chelsea and Liverpool for the midfielder, who was in fine form for the USA at the World Cup.
