Luisao in, Sol Campbell out

It looks like Luisao is heading to Portsmouth and Sol Campbell will be leaving Fratton Park this summer. Harry Redknapp was keen to keep the former Arsenal defender, but the advances of a foreign move have tempted Campbell.

Luisao is being linked for around £12 million, whilst Sol Campbell has been repeatedly linked with a move to Spain; with Villarreal among his potential suitors.

"The assessment of Luisao is very good," Portsmouth's director of communications Gary Double said. "Campbell will leave and Luisao is Redknapp's preference for the defence.

"We have already spoken to Benfica and they have set the fee at £12million as a starting point for negotiations."
