Duran on Benfica radar

Manchester United target Jhon Duran could reportedly make the move to Benfica during the January transfer window.

The Red Devils have been keeping a close eye on the teenager over the past few months, but they are yet to make an approach.

Amidst this, Record claim that Benfica have entered the race and they could look to beat Erik ten Hag's side in the player's pursuit.

The Portuguese giants are known for pursuing young talents from around the world and Duran is the latest emerging star on their radar.

The 19-year-old had a superb 2022 season with Chicago Fire in MLS, registering eight goals and six assists from 30 matches.

He could be available for around €15m next month and it remains to be seen whether United will act to avoid losing him to Benfica.

Last summer, the Red Devils missed out on Enzo Fernandez's signature to the Portuguese side and it has proved to be a huge blunder.

Fernandez has been excellent for club and country over the past six months. He is now valued in excess of €100m by Benfica.
