Erik ten Hag confirms fresh renewals for Man Utd quartet
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Diogo Dalot, Marcus Rashford, Fred and Luke Shaw have had their contracts extended.
The quartet had their deals expiring in the summer of 2023, but United have now triggered extension clauses to keep them for another 12 months.
The decision means that foreign clubs can't negotiate with them in January while the club have more time on their hands to discuss new deals.
Among the quartet, Diogo Dalot and Marcus Rashford have been almost ever-present since Ten Hag took charge as the manager in the summer.
They are clearly the manager's favourites at the moment and the Red Devils are likely to prioritise long-term contracts for the star pairing.
Luke Shaw could also have his contract renewed further, but we expect Fred to be shown the exit door at the end of the ongoing campaign.
Fred's value has been preserved with the short-term extension. He could be sold next summer with Paris Saint-Germain said to be interested.
