Arsenal enter talks to sign Marco Asensio?

Arsenal have reportedly entered talks with the agent of Marco Asensio regarding a free transfer this summer.

The Spaniard has entered the last five months of his deal with Madrid and the La Liga giants are yet to extend his stay.

Amidst this, his agent has travelled to London to speak with interested sides and it is claimed that Arsenal are one of them.

Mikel Arteta has been a huge admirer of Asensio for many years and he is said to be keen on landing the Spanish star.

Talks are expected to be held with his entourage in the coming days to find out whether an agreement can be reached.

Asensio is currently on wages of around €130,000-a-week. He is eyeing close to €200,000-a-week for his next deal.

It remains to be seen whether the Gunners are prepared to meet such demands to sign the former Mallorca youngster.

Asensio has also been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United.
