Chelsea planning shock move for Denzel Dumfries?

Chelsea have been fancied to make a shock move for Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries this summer, according to Il Mattino.

The Dutchman was heavily linked with the Blues last month but they ended up signing another right-back in Lyon's Malo Gusto.

Despite this, this has been speculation linking Dumfries with the club and it is now claimed that they could sign him this summer.

Inter need to balance their books before the end of June and it is reported that they could offload the 26-year-old for €40 million.

Chelsea continue to be mentioned as favourites, but it would come as a surprise if they are interested in landing his signature.

The Blues have already signed a talented young right-back in Gusto and he is expected to provide back-up to Reece James next term.

Hence, they don't need another addition in the department and Inter may have to look elsewhere for a lucrative bid for their player.

Manchester United could be possible candidates to land Dumfries.
