Manchester United plot shock move for Everton defender
Manchester United are reportedly keen on landing Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite during the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils signed Lisandro Martinez from Ajax last summer and the centre-back has been an undisputed starter when fit.
Despite his success, the club are eyeing another left-footed option in central defence and Branthwaite is currently on their radar.
The 20-year-old is presently on a season-long loan at PSV Eindhoven where he has been impressive since the turn of the year.
PSV attempted to sign him from the Toffees last month and it is now claimed that there could be a bidding war this summer.
United are looking to make an approach for the young defender but they are not alone in the pursuit of the England Under-20 star.
Liverpool are also keeping tabs on the central defender. Roma are another club that are closely watching his performances.
Everton refused to sell him for £15m to PSV and they could now hold out for more than £30m for the highly-rated youngster.
