Gabriel Martinelli to be dropped by Mikel Arteta?
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could drop Gabriel Martinelli to the bench when the club host Manchester City in the Premier League tomorrow.
The north London giants have suffered a mini slump in form and they have picked up just one point from their last two league matches.
As a result, the club are only three points ahead of Manchester City with a game in hand. They could be leapfrogged by City at the top with a win.
Hence, there is much to play for at the Emirates Stadium and ahead of the game, reports suggest that Martinelli could be axed from the XI.
The Brazilian youngster has been superb for the Gunners this campaign and he recently put pen-to-paper on a new long-term contract.
Despite this, his form has been concerning since the beginning of the year and we won't be surprised if he is not chosen in the first XI.
Leandro Trossard scored within four minutes of coming on against Brentford. The Belgian could replace Martinelli on the left wing.
