Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Newcastle, Antony starts
Manchester United face off against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final later today. The Red Devils will be aiming to end their six-year trophy drought by beating the Magpies at the Wembley Stadium.
Predicted Line-up:
David de Gea has been almost ever-present in goal for the Red Devils this campaign. The Spaniard is currently in a rich vein of form and is expected to start between the sticks.
In front of him, it could be a familiar backline from the Barcelona win in midweek. We anticipate Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw to continue in defence.
Casemiro and Fred should likewise be nailed-on starters in midfield. The Brazilian duo were brilliant versus Barcelona. The latter scored the vital equaliser before Antony's late winner at Old Trafford.
In attack, one change should be certain. Wout Weghorst is expected to be dropped in favour of Antony. We should see Marcus Rashford leading the attack today with Weghorst's return to the bench.
Bruno Fernandes is set to feature in his number 10 spot with Antony and Jadon Sancho on the right and left wing respectively. Sancho could be replaced by Alejandro Garnacho later on in the final.
Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Fred; Antony, Fernandes, Sancho; Rashford.
