Spurs closing in on Kameni?

There have been rumours this morning that Tottenham Hotspur have moved a step closer to signing Cameroon international goalkeeper Carlos Kameni from Espanyol.

Spurs reportedly have agreed terms in the last week with Spanish club Espanyol; and have only to discuss personal terms with the keeper before he makes the move to London.

Paul Robinson has fallen out of favour under Juande Ramos at Spurs, and has been linked with a summer move to Martin O'Neill's Aston Villa side.

Espanyol yesterday sealed the signing of impressive young Argentinian goalkeeper, 22 year old Cristian Alvarez from Rosario Central.

The signing seems to indicate that Espanyol are already thinking about their successor for their keeper.
