Arsenal stepping up interest in Belgian midfielder?
Arsenal are planning to step up their long-term interest in signing Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans.
The Belgian has been linked with the Gunners over the last 18 months, and he could finally make the switch.
According to TeamTalk, the north London giants are in contact with his agent regarding a free transfer.
Tielemans has made it clear that he won't renew with the Foxes. His current deal expires on June 30.
The player has the preference to stay in the Premier League and Arsenal could be favourites to sign him.
Manchester United are also keen on the ex-Monaco man but Tielemans wants Champions League football.
United are not guaranteed to finish in the top four at the moment and they have plenty of work to do hereon.
They could also make the competition by winning the Europa League, though that is far from straightforward.
With Juventus, Roma and Sevilla still in the mix, United will need to play at their best to lift the Europa League title.
